Who am I?
My name is Logan Hatch. I live in Colorado, I love skiing, web development, and cybersecurity. I created Hatch Layer because I believe anybody can be an entrepreneur. This company allows me to start my journey of buisness ownership and grow my network and customer base.
What is Hatch Layer?
Hatch Layer is a small Colorado company that I founded in 2026 aiming to provide 3D printed resources to the people of Colorado. It specializes in creation of toys, games, and tools. As it stands right now, Hatch Layer is a buisness of mine and serves as way to provide the community with 3D printed products while making some income. The main goal of the company right now is to build a reliable customer base and gain famialiarity with the community as it grows. The website you are looking at right now also serves as it's own project to help gain more practical practice with web development and programing.
What about the website?
Web development is a passion of mine. That being said, I did not specialize in web development, I just really enjoy doing it on the side. I used a lot of free skills to get what skill I have, namely a lot of Free Code Camp and javascript.info. Both are free of charge definitely worth a try if you are interested in web development. All in all, I am a big fan of web development. If you feel the same, please dont be afraid to reach out!
AI statement
Regardless of your exact opinion on it, every person can agree AI is a huge change. In the technology world especially, it is activly remaking the entire industry. The way I see it, AI is a tool, one that can be used for both good and bad, and I see it as inherently nither. AI has certianly made some people's lifes worse, taking jobs and using huge ammounts of natural resouces, but it has also guided us to new solutions for huge problesm and is nice to have in everyday life. Regarding this website, I bring this all up because I want to state where this website is at in the contraversial topic that is AI. This wesite is entirely typed out by hand. That being said, AI was used for minor things like spellcheck and set up help. I think it is okay to occasionally have AI write prograps, or utalize "vibe codeing", but I do believe making something with your own hands enhaces learning and generally produces more high quality work.
